No real problems navigating or getting to the group, which was nice. My roommate, however, seemed to have no information on file, and got left at the airport... without a phone, phonecard, or previous abroad knowledge. Her and another girl (that they KNOW they left behind...) navigated their way to the hotel through the metro. Alex (my roomy) is really excited/proud about the whole thing - she has a story before anyone!
This is going on
32 hours now... of not sleeping. We meet for dinner downstairs (we are at the Hotel Moderno in Madrid) in 45 minutes - at 8pm. We are 9 hours ahead here. I've made a few friends already - the first two boys that were picked up when I was from the airport, and my roommate. The other girl who was left with her seems really nice too - quiet. Sean (one of the guys), Alex and I went wandering around Madrid before briefly, to stay awake and have something to do between meetings. We walked down to a palace down the street, checking out all the stores and taking pictures. They both do webcam stuff, so they videod themselves. ;) Not much else going on yet - dunno where we are going to go for dinner. The other guy I met just came in with a guitar he just bought down the street. He writes his own music, and is from Texas. Sean brought his violin, and is from Michigan. I told them that I have no musical talent, but that I would stand there and support if they tried to earn any money. They are talking about playing with the Gypsies in Granada, when we get there. ;)
Anyways, my computer is dying. I'll get back when I can. After some food and SLEEP. Ugh.
Glad you made it there mostly fine. =) You could always sing for them. I should of let you borrow my kazoo anyone can play them. Watching you about the new Sean in your life though. ;)
