Another week of school, without much to say about it. Wednesday (Oct 21st) API hosted a Spanish Movie night, where we all met at the theater and saw Agora, which is originally in English, but was directed by one of the two really good Spanish producers. I really liked the movie - about a female philosopher who was eventually considered a witch (and killed) by the religion she stood by (Catholicism, I believe...). It was one of those movies that was fine while watching it, but really impacted me the next day, upon reflection. I really enjoyed it, and would appreciate watching it again (preferably in English).
Thursday night Liz and I were meeting for ice cream (since places close this month, and we had the free coupons) right after class (at 6pm - before dinner). Sean, Halee and Tyler came too, which are two other early starters, and they are pretty cool - I like them both. Halee actually just got her nose pierced here in Granada, so I'm planning on asking her more about that... where, how much, etc. Tyler is a habitual liar, and therefore great fun to hang out with, as long as you don't need to take him too seriously. ;) The ice cream place we had the coupon for was closed, as was the little side jaunt of the same company in a nearby square. Tyler got a kabob (meat and veggie toppings inside a pita pocket, basically), but the rest of us decided to go home for food. I was really bummed about not getting my ice cream (I'd been waiting for this for weeks), so Sean and I stopped at the little corner place where we first got ice cream upon arrival so I could get my fix anyways. :)
Friday, we left for Sevilla with the entire API group - early AND regular start students!
